In the story there’s a girl that wants to play baseball with the boys won’t let her. The year this story takes place in is 1931 this was the same time as the Great Depression which made many people lose their jobs.I this story was from the past because in the story it said but then one day he’d come home looking like a hangdog.Three people who really lived that where in the story were Babe Ruth,Lou Gehrig and Tony Lazzeri .Two things I learned about Babe Ruth is that he is one of the two all time greats in base ball and, he gets angry  when he strikes out.In the story there’s a boy named Timmy Oglethorpe and he goes to a base ball game and, he makes a bet that he would let the girl play base ball with them if the first ever girl pitcher can strike Babe Ruth out.During the game the boy buys cracker jacks for a nickel. I think that if the story took place today they would think that girls can play base ball.

We did a project to learn how the colonist felt when they were taxed.There was a kid who was king,and two other kids who were tax colecters the rest of us were colonist.There were taxes and if they applied to you had to them some candy.The taxes were like if you had brown hair owe two candies,if you have a sister you owe one candy,if you have on tie shoes you owe two candies and,if you have blue eyes,a pencil on your desk or if you got on jeans you owe two candies.I realized how the colonist felt when they got taxed.I was sad that I had no more candy left,but I bet that the colonist were mad when the British taxed them.

One thing I will always remember from 2014 is the time I scared my 11 year old sister.I had firecrackers that looked like hershey kisses,and I hid behind my dad’s car.My dad told my sister he left his phone in the car and when she walked up to the back seat door i threw down all the firecrackers.Next thing you know my sister screamed loudly while I laughed uncontorlablely. In 2015 I want to learn how to do awesome tricks on my bike ,and skate board. I also want to become better at riding a bike. I Also want to (try)to be a better kid.
